Description

Debt Management Glasgow is part of the Department for Work and Pensions and we are looking to recruit Fixed Term Appointments at Band A (Administrative Assistants). These are Fixed Term appointments initially up to March 09 with a possibility of permanency at a future date. A waiting list will be held for a period of 12 months where vacancies are not immediately available. It is expected that successful candidates would take up posts around July 08.

Debt Management is responsible for the calculation and recovery of overpaid benefits on behalf of Jobcentre Plus, The Pension Service and DCS.

We are looking for people who are willing to learn, work as part of a team and have the ability to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision.

Duties for this post include clerical and computer system work. The job will also involve file management including boxing and sending of work to remote storage.

To prevent any destabilisation of a business location, applications from existing AA staff in Clydebank BDC will have their applications rejected if they are applying on a level/lateral basis. Similarly applications from existing

FTA AA staff in Clydebank BDC with more than 3 months left on their contract will also be rejected.

These are Fixed Term Contracts initially until 27 March 09 with a view to permanency

No previous experience is required as training will be given. Applicants must complete the Competency Choice Application and demonstrate the required behaviours and, if successful at the first stage complete, a numeracy and literacy test. Applicants successful at testing will be invited for interview where they must demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

Applicants successful at the sift stage will be invited to Selection Testing week commencing 9 June 08. Applicants successful at the Selection stage will be invited to interview week commencing 16th June 08.
