Phase 1 flexible New Deal
The Department has received several requests from organisations, who intend to submit a PQQ for the fND, for secondees from Jobcentre Plus to be placed with them to feed into fND development and smooth the transition. Please note that it is not appropriate at this stage in the competition to agree to any requests for secondments to or from Jobcentre Plus as this may place organisations in an advantageous position.
In addition, some District Managers have been receiving numerous requests for meetings with potential bidders to discuss fND and detailed proposals for delivery. At this stage there is little value in holding meetings with all interested organisations as we have not yet undertaken the shortlisting process. Short listed bidders will be invited to the Invitation to Tender events which will be held in August 2008. At that stage it will be very helpful for bidders to meet with District Managers to ensure that they have as a wide an understanding of the contract area as possible.
