Frequently asked questions: Getting involved in delivery

How can I get involved in the delivery of contracted employment services?

Wherever possible, DWP aims to seek a Prime Contractor for contracted employment services, across a Jobcentre Plus District, through a two-stage approach to tendering. Organisations can bid to deliver a range of provision using sub-contractors, where it is appropriate, or to bid to deliver provision as a sole provider. We recognise that third sector organisations (small and medium enterprises, voluntary and community sector) may not have the capacity to deliver larger contracts. We therefore encourage the third sector to develop relationships with other providers with a view to offering their services, either as a partner, consortium or on a sub-contract basis.

We hold provider briefing events prior to procurement exercises to facilitate the process of partnerships and networking. Following stage 1 of the exercise (pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ), we publish on our website the successful organisations invited to tender for stage 2. We encourage the development of partnering and sub-contracting to ensure there is the right level of expertise and distribution for the successful delivery of provision across the District.
