Contracted Employment Services
On 1 April 2007 responsibility for employment programmes delivered by external
providers transferred from Jobcentre Plus to Work, Welfare and Equality
Group (WWEG) and Commercial Directorate (previously Commercial and Estates
Directorate) within the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). For further
information about the transfer of responsibility please see the letter
to our providers (26KB) 
from David Smith, DWP's Commercial Director, and Matthew Nicholas, Jobcentre
Plus's Director of External Relations and Communications.
