Latest Update to the Jobcentre Plus Provider Guidance

Dear Provider

Attached is the latest update to the Jobcentre Plus Provider Guidance. Please note that this and future updates are now published on the Supplying DWP website on the Contract Management and Delivery area. All documents previously published on the Jobcentre Plus Partners website, including all the chapters of Provider Guidance, have now been migrated to this area with the exception of some European Social Fund information and access to the ESF MI database.

If you have any concerns regarding the content of this update please speak with your Jobcentre Plus District contact, they will liaise with the appropriate policy team within Jobcentre Plus Directorate as required.

21. If a participant leaves provision to start a job before the planned end of the provision the provider can claim the balance of on-programme weeks up to the planned duration if they remain in a job for 13 continuous weeks after they start work. Rolled Up Weeks are only applicable where customer leaves provision to start employment on the next working day. that consists of at least 16 hours per week or 8 hours if the initial job outcome claimed was for 8 hours.

22. The evidence required is a signed statement(s) from the employer(s) stating:

  • the participant's name and National Insurance Number;
  • the date the participant started the job;
  • that the participant has been in continuous employment for 13 weeks after the job start date;
  • that the work continues to consist of at least 16 hours of work each week, or 8 hours each week if the initial job outcome claimed was for 8 hours;
  • the employer's name;
  • the employer's address;
  • the employer's telephone number; and
  • the employer's contact name.

The statement from the employer(s) must not be obtained before the participant has been in employment for 13 weeks. It must also be on company letter headed paper or include a compliment slip or show a company stamp.Further information around qualifying criteria can be found in paragraphs 52-55
