Specialist Disability Employment Programme

Dear Provider

Specialist Disability Employment Programme - Invitation to Submit Pre-Qualification Questionnaire

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is offering organisations the opportunity to compete, through an open and competitive two stage tendering process, for the delivery of Specialist Disability Employment Programme (SDEP) provision in a number of contract areas.

The contract period for package areas SDEP1 to SDEP28 will be from October 2010 to October 2015, with the opportunity to extend for a further 24 months.

The competition will be a two-stage process:

Stage One (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire)
Submission of a “Pre Qualification Questionnaire” (PQQ) by interested organisations.

Stage Two (Invitation to Tender)
Submission of a fully completed bid, by organisations successful at Stage One.

The following instructions and documents relate to Stage One of the competition only and can be viewed/downloaded by clicking on the relevant document.

DWP is requesting that if an organisation wishes to submit a PQQ for the Specialist Disability Employment Programme contracts, they need to indicate their expression of interest by sending an e-mail confirming their organisation’s name, address and contact details, stating where they saw the advert for the Specialist Disability Employment Programme competition to the following e-mail address by Friday 24th April 2009:
SPECIALISTDISABILITYPROVISION.BIRMINGHAMPST@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK

As advertised within recent notices, DWP are holding five provider briefing events:

The anticipated duration for each event is 10.00 – 15.30. The purpose of these events is to explain our requirements more fully and answer questions from potential bidders and other organisations who may be interested in working as subcontractors. Each event will follow the same format, and therefore your organization will be limited to attending one of these events only. A maximum of two people from each organization can attend.

You are only required to complete one PQQ irrespective of how many contracts you are interested in.

Your PQQ must be submitted in accordance with the documentation and instructions available via this website. Failure to comply may result in your PQQ being deemed non-compliant.

If you experience any problems accessing these documents or have any questions regarding this competition, please email your question to:
SPECIALISTDISABILITYPROVISION.BIRMINGHAMPST@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK

by Tuesday 5th May 2009.

Question and Answer Logs will be posted on the DWP website at regular intervals.

The deadline for receipt of your tender is no later than 12.00 Noon on Monday 18th May 2009. Please ensure that your tender is submitted in time to arrive by the deadline as a late tender may be deemed non-compliant.

Yours sincerely,
