Dear Colleagues

By now you will all have seen the Coalition Government's statements on employment programmes and their plans for the Work Programme, and we are sure you will have many and pressing questions about the implications for our current programmes and procurements.

We are urgently engaging with our new Ministerial team, and can assure you that as soon as clear steers are given we will share the emerging picture and work through the implications with you. We are particularly keen to bring certainty as soon as possible to those of you delivering current programmes that are due to end this year. That will be one of our priorities, along with understanding the plans for both phases of the Flexible New Deal, Work Choice and other planned provision such as the Community Task Force.
