The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006

To make providers aware of The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, which came into force in November 2006, that became fully operational in Autumn 2008.
It details very significant changes in the way that people who work with children or vulnerable adults are vetted.
The act defines two types of activity relating to children or vulnerable adults. Attached are links to the Act.
This should form part of your current staff recruitment procedure, where relevant.
