13 Week Tracking - New Deal and Programme Centre Provision

To providers delivering Mandatory New Deals and Programme Centre Provision,

Issue

1. WWEG has agreed to extend the tracking period to 13 weeks for Programme Centres and Mandatory New Deals.

2. Many of you have raised concerns about the 6 week tracking period and the impact this is having on performance. As a consequence of this, we have reviewed the tracking period and agreed that for all mandatory New Deal Provision (NDYP and ND25 plus) and Programme Centre Provision the tracking period will be extended to 13 weeks.

3. This is advance notification to inform you that this change will apply to all jobs started on or after 1 January 2009 and, therefore, that any outcome claims for jobs starting from this date, will be subject to the new 13 weeks tracking period. This change will continue throughout the life of the current contracts.

4. Further details of this change will be communicated to you during week commencing 5 January. I would ask that in the interim you refrain from contacting Contract Managers for more details, as these will be forthcoming.

Next Steps

5. Those providers who deliver NDYP, ND25 plus and Programme Centre provision are to note that this change will take effect from 1 January 2009.

Yours sincerely
