On the 30 June we invited eligible organisations on the Framework for the Provision of Employment Related Support Services (ERSS) to tender for European Social Fund (ESF) 2011 – 2013 provision. We will announce the preferred bidders in mid October and the contracts are due to go live in December .

We have asked local authorities (LAs) to work closely with bidders and then with the successful supplier for their Contract Package Area (CPA).

We have been working closely with LAs to prepare for this, including holding a number of events.

We have included more details about the tender on the European Social Fund (ESF) page.

Local Authority Advisory Group

DWP invited all Upper Tier Local Authority points of contact to nominate a representative for each CPA to form a Local Authority Advisory Group. This group is working with DWP to

• address and identify issues during implementation,
• act as a source of knowledge and understanding of how local authorities operate, and
• identify and share best practise.

We will publish notes from the meetings.

Local Government Group

The Local Government Group have asked local authorities to nominate a representative from each CPA to help assess the overall deliverability of the bids, based on local knowledge within the CPA.
