Employee Discount Scheme

As part of their employee benefits package, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) currently offers access to an employee discount scheme. This offers its employees the chance to purchase a range of goods and services at discounted rates.

DWP is one of the largest public sector employers. The scheme is open to all its employees, which currently number about 110,000, and represent a diverse and geographically dispersed population. The current number of registered users of the existing scheme is about 68,000.

We are now tendering for a new supplier for the scheme.

The draft timetable for this is:

Expressions of interest invited – 13 April 2011
Pre qualification questionnaire issued – May 2011
Invitation to tender issued – May/June 2011
Contract awarded – September 2011
Contract begins – 01 December 2011
