DWP Commissioning Strategy published
28 February 2008
A new approach to sourcing, procuring and managing employability provision has been announced in DWP’s Commissioning Strategy (734KB)
, published today, building on the Interim report which was published in November 2007.
Its aims are to increase the number of people entering and staying in work, reduce costs and achieve the best individual outcome for each customer.
It is a major milestone in our welfare reform programme and the foundation on which we will take forward the key recommendations described by David Freud in his Report ‘Reducing Dependency, Increasing Opportunity’, published in March 2007.
