| GPFR | Children with diabetes should be identified by the primary care trust. The vast majority of children will receive repeat prescriptions for insulin through their GP. Confirmation of the diagnosis of diabetes and the prescription of insulin to the child is all that is required in the typical case.
Where extra difficulties are claimed such as behavioural difficulties making treatment more challenging, evidence of such difficulties in addition to confirmation of diabetes will need to be obtained from the GP. |
