What is Temporal Arteritis?
Temporal Arteritis or Giant Cell Arteritis is so called because it is a chronic inflammation of the large arteries, typically the temporal arteries which are in the temple region at the sides of the forehead. On microscopic examination, large cells are seen in the affected vessel walls.
