Prevention of RSI
RSI is best prevented in its early stages before it becomes difficult to control. The following are important in preventing symptoms from increasing:
- Stop the movement when symptoms such as pain and fatigue appear (stop using the computer for example)
- Check posture avoiding, for example, hunched shoulders.
- Take regular breaks.
- Keep fit and exercise to improve muscle strength and blood-flow.
- When typing avoid resting wrists on anything when typing.
