Stages of Ovarian Cancer
- Stage 1 ovarian cancer – the cancer is contained inside one or both ovaries
- Stage 2 ovarian cancer - the cancer has grown outside the ovaries but it is contained within the pelvis
- Stage 3 ovarian cancer – the cancer has spread outside the pelvis to lymph nodes or the upper abdominal peritoneal cavity but there are no metastases
- Stage 4 ovarian cancer – there is metastatic disease for example inside the liver or the lungs
