Specific tests for breast cancer

• Mammogram (an x-ray film of the soft tissues of the breast)
• Ultrasound and biopsy of the breast lump
• MRI scan of the breasts
• Mammary endoscopy (ductendoscopy)

Further tests may be carried out to check for metastatic disease including:

• chest x-ray
• bone scan
• liver ultrasound
• CT scan
