Tests for bladder cancer
The main test used for bladder cancer is cystoscopy. This means inserting a telescope into the bladder to look at its lining, biopsies can be taken at the same time.
Other tests
- Intravenous Urogram (IVU) – this is an x-ray with dye to outline the kidneys, ureter and bladder
- Computed Tomography (CT) scan
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan
- Bone Scan
- Ultrasound scan
