Treatment - Panic Disorder

Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI) antidepressants are now the first-line treatment for panic disorder. Benzo diazepines have a complementary role in the first few weeks of treatment. The drug treatments can provide a window of opportunity for effective treatment with relaxation, exposure or cognitive behaviour treatments.
