Classification of Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety disorders include, among others, the following conditions:

Complex phobias

Obsessive compulsive disorder

Post traumatic stress disorder

Mixed anxiety and depressive disorder

Anxiety disorder associated with other conditions e.g. physical illness, substance abuse, etc

These categories are not mutually exclusive, some occur in combination and all are characterised by symptoms of anxiety as a severe and prominent feature. Anxiety symptoms are also found in many other mental health disorders as part of the overall symptomatology.
