Help with collecting benefit payments

If you receive benefits or a State Pension, your money will be paid straight into an account. This is the safest way to pay you and lets you choose how and when you get your money. Most bank and building societies have arrangements that will let you collect cash over the counter at post offices.

This factsheet provides advisers and carers with advice and options to discuss with people when deciding on someone else collecting their benefit or pension.
