What is Writer's cramp?

Writer’s cramp is a focal dystonia where the effect is limited to a single part of the body, in this case the hand. It usually relates to occupations or activities that rely on frequent repetitive movement such as handwriting, typing or fine repetitive tasks on production lines. It also may be called Typists Cramp, Twister's Cramp, Musician's Cramp or Focal Dystonia of the Hand.
