Prognosis and duration of disabling affects

RSI can be a painful and distressing problem but in most cases it will not cause significant functional restrictions. At its very worst it may cause a sufferer to have to give up or change a job or stop a particular activity.

Most commonly, however, it is managed with conservative measures and although it is a troublesome condition, it usually does not cause significant functional problems.

If entitlement is appropriate - 1 year award

All information must be taken into account when considering the duration of disabling effects and the duration of disabling effects must be based on the particular circumstances of the individual claimant.
