What Is Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI)?

RSI is a general term for a group of musculo-skeletal disorders. It is also called repetitive stress injury, work related upper limb disorder, cumulative trauma disorder or typing injury and is an occupational overuse syndrome affecting muscles, tendons and nerves generally in the arms and upper back. It occurs when the muscles in these areas are kept tense for very long periods of time, due to poor posture and/or repetitive movements.
