HIV and AIDS in people over 65

HIV and AIDS is affecting an increasing number of people over the age of 50. The clinical features are similar to those in younger people but the diagnosis may not be entertained until later on in the illness. Treatment of HIV and AIDS in the elderly is similar to those in people under the age of 65. Disease progression and mortality rates are higher in the elderly.
