Clinical features
The common symptoms of breast cancer are:
- Lump in the breast;
- Puckering of the skin of the breast;
- Blood-stained nipple discharge or nipple inversion of recent onset.
Less commonly:
- There may be no symptoms but disease has been identified by the breast cancer screening programme.
- Rarely cancer in the breast may go unnoticed and the first symptoms are of metastatic disease.
