Proportion of new claims to Jobseeker’s Allowance submitted online
Indicator description
This indicator measures the proportion of new Jobseeker’s Allowance claims submitted online as a percentage of all Jobseeker’s Allowance new claims received.
For Jobseeker’s Allowance:
- claims submitted online means – the proportion of claims submitted online which are then recorded in the Jobseeker’s Allowance Payment System, where the online marker that was set when the claim was made is still retained
- all Jobseeker’s Allowance claims means – the total number of Jobseeker’s Allowance claims received and recorded in the Jobseeker’s Allowance Payment System.
Good performance would be observed through increases in the proportion of customers claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance online.
Latest data – published January 2013
The latest data for January 2013 show that the proportion of Jobseeker’s Allowance claims submitted online was 51.4%. This is an increase of 5.9 percentage points from the December 2012 figure of 45.5%.
