Research
Research from academics, think tanks, and Government evaluations which are informing policy around ageing in the UK.
- Don’t stop me now – Preparing for an ageing population (July 2008) is an Audit Commission report on preparing for the opportunities and challenges of the ageing population in England (Audit Commission website).
- Under Pressure – Tackling the financial challenge for councils of an ageing population (February 2010) is an Audit Commission report examining the extent to which councils know about the costs of their ageing populations. It also identifies savings that could come from preventative services and better work with other organisations.
- Research in the Department for Work and Pensions includes links to all research published by DWP.
- The UK Age Research Forum (UKARF) is a strategic partnership between government, research councils and charities that aims to make a difference to the lives of older people through research.
