Tower Hamlets
A single access gateway to services for people aged over 50, through five existing network centres. Each centre also operates an outreach service to identify isolated older people in the borough and assist them to access services, benefits and activities.

a health and fitness session for Bengali women which also includes expert input covering healthy living, medical and dietary issues with group discussion of the issues raised. - Health and well-being for Somali women (188KB)
a coffee morning for Somali women aged 50 and over which runs once a week and gives women an opportunity to socialise and be empowered. - Neighbours in Poplar – Bengali Older Adults (185KB)
bringing together older Bengali women on a weekly basis. - Neighbours in Poplar – Men’s Social Group (183KB)
bringing older men together and providing them with their own “space”. - Sundial Centre Art Class (187KB)
a drop in resource centre dedicated to meeting the needs of the local community, especially people aged 50 and over.
Pilot evaluation report
As part of the project, all pilots undertook local evaluation of their pilot in addition to the national evaluation being undertaken by Warwick Business School.
