Working with the media
This section looks at working with newspapers and broadcasters to help spread the word about the difference Pension Credit can make to pensioners’ lives. Working with local media can help you in lots of ways by:
- spreading the word about what you’re doing
- celebrating what you’ve achieved – this can boost your organisation’s standing in the local community
- inspiring other individuals and organisations to follow your good example
- helping people in the community to understand more about Pension Credit by seeing the difference it has made to people just like themselves.
- publicising events to make sure you get a good turn-out (but do make sure that you can deal with large numbers before doing this)
