now let's talk money
The now let’s talk money campaign has now finished. The campaign supported the work of the Financial Inclusion Champions
The now let’s talk money campaign was funded by the Financial Inclusion Fund which ended 31 March 2011. The Financial Inclusion Fund also paid for the Financial Inclusion Champions initiative which has also finished.
Since 2008, the Financial Inclusion Champions have developed new, improved delivery partnerships between a range of organisations including:
- local authorities
- social landlords
- community organisations and charities
- health services
- banks.
The Financial Inclusion Champions also worked in deprived areas to increase access to:
- basic bank and savings accounts
- affordable credit, and
- face-to-face debt advice.
They promoted the benefits of home contents insurance and the Commission for Financial Education’s money guidance service through the national Moneymadeclear™ project.
We are confident that the work they have been involved with has reached a position where it can be taken forward by their community partners.
We are continuing to support Financial Inclusion through the modernisation and expansion of credit unions. You can find out more about this in our pages on the Growth Fund.
