National indicators for local authorities and local authority partnerships – older people

This page contains information and guidance for local authorities to help meet the PSA 17 (older people) indicators.
Three of the PSA 17 older people indicators are included in the set of 198 National Indicators for Local Authorities and Local Authority Partnerships announced by Hazel Blears, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, in October 2007:

Alongside other indicators relevant to older people in the national indicator set, these will provide a focus for holistic planning and delivery by national and local service providers. Effective LAAs and Local Strategic Partnerships, involving wide partnerships of Government, private and third sector organisations and older citizens themselves, also will be critical in further improving later life in the UK.
