Office for Disability Issues

The Office for Disability Issues (ODI) was launched on 1 December 2005 and is the focal point within Government for coordinating the development of policy and the delivery of services for disabled people.

Although the ODI is a cross government initiative, it is located in the DWP as this is the department which leads on rights, benefits and employment programmes for disabled people. The ODI also supports the Minister for Disabled People, who currently works in DWP.
