Quarterly Monitoring – FAQs

Q. Quarterly performance statistics are available on the DWP website. Are there more detailed reports available?

A. Yes. HB/CTB Management reports are sent to Chief Executives on a quarterly basis, although this frequency has been disrupted due to the data transfer embargo imposed by DWP for quarters 3 and 4 of 2007/08. Each report shows the individual authority’s performance over time and how it has performed against the performance grade ranges.

More detailed information is available online at the Housing Benefit Operational Database (HoBOD):
http://research.dwp.gov.uk/asd/hobod/index.php?name=selfassessment_results.

Q. Will DWP continue to provide quarterly HB/CTB Management reports to the Chief Executives of individual authorities’ performance during 2008/09?

A. It is our intention to provide the CEO with HB/CTB Management Reports which will contain performance information on the two new Performance Indicators from April 2008: Right time and Right Benefit. However, there is likely to be a delay to  publication of the reports until we are confident that the data provided from the Single HB Extract is reliable.

Q. Can we view all authorities’ performance against these measures?

A. Yes, you will be able to view these indicators via HoBOD.
