Services and benefits

Sutton and Wembley

Wembley Disability Benefit Centre (DBC) provides an outreach service, covering the Sutton and Wembley areas, to customer representative organisations and other DWP agencies to increase awareness of DCS services and establish communication links. Wembley DBC also processes new claims for Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance for disabled people and carers in the Wembley areas. Wembley DBC Customer Service Team is responsible for dealing with customer feedback, compliments, recommendations about Wembley DBC service and complaints.

Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance new claims for the Sutton area are processed at the Disability Contact & Processing Unit, Warbreck House, Warbreck Hill, Blackpool, FY5 0YE. A customer service team at Blackpool is responsible for dealing with customer feedback, compliments, recommendations about our service and complaints.

Outreach update – Sutton area

On 11 October, outreach staff attended the National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy conference at Gatwick airport. We manned an information stand throughout the day, and ran a well attended workshop about DLA for children and young people.

Other events in October have included taking questions at a forum for organisations working with disabled people from across Berkshire, and running an awareness session for support workers from Carers Together, Hampshire.
