Services and benefits

Glasgow

Glasgow Disability Benefits Centre (DBC) provides access to Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance and Carer's Allowance for disabled people and carers in the Strathclyde region of Scotland.

It provides an outreach service to customer representative organisations and other DWP agencies to increase awareness of DCS services and establish communication links.

The DBC Customer Service Team is responsible for dealing with customer feedback, compliments, recommendations about our service and complaints. We also provide a forms completion service, by telephone, to assist customers in completing DLA and AA applications.

News

Glasgow DBC has recently been awarded Charter Mark status for providing excellent customer service.

Glasgow DBC held two very successful Open Days recently.

The events were attended by around 50 representatives from a variety of disability groups and agencies ranging from Citizens Advice Bureaux and Mental Health groups to Welfare Rights and Social Work advisors.

The attendees were given a few presentations on various topics ranging from Disclosure of Information to Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). They were also given a tour of the office and a chance to meet the management team for questions. The feedback from the events was very positive and we will be looking to arrange a further event in the spring.
