CTB Take-up campaign

Local authorities have a statutory duty to promote Council Tax Benefit (CTB) and the Government wants to ensure as far as possible that all people get the help with council tax that they are entitled to.

Take-up of CTB is particularly low amongst pensioners: around 4 in 10 of those pensioners entitled to it are not claiming. The Government is particularly keen to ensure that this group of customers are aware of their entitlement and are encouraged to claim it.

Download posters and flyers that use the national campaign design to use as part of your own publicity to promote Council Tax Benefit. You may like to include the flyers in Council Tax bills and display the posters in your offices.

There is information for customers about Council Tax Benefit on Directgov.
