Housing Benefit reforms
The Housing Benefit Reform Programme is now well underway. Launched in October 2002 by Andrew Smith, the reforms promote choice and responsibility for HB customers as well as making the scheme more transparent. Andrew Smith has announced important reforms of Housing Benefit in a statement to the House of Commons. Housing Benefit is now centre-stage in the Government's welfare reform programme.
