Employ ability in the North East and North West
Employers in the North East and North West are being urged to challenge their assumptions about disabled people in the workplace.
Minister for Disabled People Anne McGuire, attended a business breakfast at Newcastle Football Stadium on 12 June 2008. The informal breakfast event was an opportunity for open discussion on some of the key challenges employers face in this area and what works best in helping them to overcome them.
Some of the key business intermediaries attending included the North East Chamber of Commerce, North East Employer Coalition and the Northumberland Business Service.
