Corporate Debt Control Unit
The Corporate Debt Control Unit (CDCU) is the central point for recovering DWP debt, including outstanding payments owed to CRU.
Information is sent to CDCU about cases that have been through the normal debt recovery process, but where the debt is still outstanding. When payment is not received CDCU issues a letter to the debtors.
CDCU is the last point of contact for compensators to make payments to clear debts in CRU cases before the debt is referred to a contracted private sector company to recover the debt. The company is instructed to recover debts, including authority to instigate litigation to secure recovery through the Courts System.
You can contact Paul Moad on 0191 2247774 for more information about CDCU.
