Pathways to Work Performance Summary
This report presents a summary of activity in Pathways to Work. Pathways to Work is central to the Government's aim of reducing the rates of customers moving onto, and remaining on, incapacity benefits. Pathways to Work comprises a comprehensive range of support and provision designed to improve customers' prospects of returning to work.
Key features of Pathways to Work are:
- a series of mandatory work focused interviews (WFIs);
- new specialist adviser teams of specially trained incapacity benefit personal advisers (IBPAs);
- a Choices package of interventions to support return to work;
- new work focused condition management programmes developed jointly with local NHS providers; and
- 52 week return to Work Credit (RTWC) of 40 per week.
