Families and Children 2001: Living Standards and the Children
Research Report No. 190
By Sandra Vegeris and Jane Perry
This report presents findings from the third year of a representative survey of British families with children. This report focuses on the incomes and living standards of families, and key indicators for children. It is based on the Families and Children Study (FACS). FACS is a multi-purpose survey, which provides information on how families' behaviour and circumstances change over time. It collects information on a wide range of subjects, such as employment, benefits, income, tax credits, use of services and childcare. The study is sponsored by a number of government departments.
