This report presents findings from analysis of the current and forecasted London labour market, to help inform an employer engagement strategy for Jobcentre Plus in London. The research considers the current volume, geography and process of employer demand; segmentation of the jobs market by sector, and within key sectors; changing recruitment methods; and provides analysis of the extent to which Jobcentre Plus and London Employer Coalition services respond to labour market opportunities.
This research is based on the analysis of previous research reports and other available data, and is supplemented through a series of interviews with Jobcentre Plus staff, public sector development agencies, London Employer Coalition members, and employers.
