The aim of the Mid-term Evaluation of the Objective 3 Programme for England and Gibraltar was to assess the impact and effectiveness of the Objective 3 Programme in England (2000-2006) to the mid-term, and to make recommendations for improvement. The study was informed by in-house analysis of management information, combined with data from evaluation projects undertaken by external contractors. The report was prepared by the ESF Evaluation Team from the Social Research Division, in Information and Analysis Directorate, Department for Work and Pensions.
