Maternity Rights in Britain 2002: Survey of Employers
In-House Report No. 130
By Dorothe Bonjour and Stephen Lissenburgh
This research presents the results of a telephone survey with employers to examine employers' awareness, schemes, perceptions and experiences of maternity rights and benefits legislation in 2002. This research adds to a time series of information following a similar format to previous surveys conducted, enabling the examination of the impact of 1999 legislative changes. It also serves as a baseline against which to track the impact of reforms to maternity and paternity rights in 2003. DWP commissioned the Policy Studies Institute (PSI) to conduct this survey.
