Families and Children Study
Data collection
The fieldwork comprises:
- A one hour interview for the main respondent (the mother figure);
- A twenty minute partner interview (where possible, otherwise this information is collected by proxy where there is a partner but they are unavailable) by proxy only from 2007 onwards;
- A ten minute self-completion questionnaire for all children aged 11-15 in the family (waves five, six and eight onwards).
