Social Justice – new case studies – Luke, Beverley and Steve, and John

We have published three new Social Justice case studies.

Luke

Luke – Without the Fairbridge programme I’d be in jail or dead

Two days after his mother’s funeral, Luke was excluded from school and he got involved in a local gang. With support from the Fairbridge programme he started a bricklaying course, has spoken at corporate events and is a youth worker.

Family Links – transforming schools and families

Beverley and Steve – Now our children will be better adults

Beverley and Steve had four children whose behaviour was out of control. They found out about the Family Links Nurturing Programme which provided simple, effective tools to help adults and children understand and manage feelings and behaviour.

Ex-Cell – Accommodation and Employment for Homeless Ex-Prisoners

John – I’ve got a chance to be something better

John left home at 16 and followed a life of crime for 14 years. Following a work placement and support from Ex‑Cell, he is now the Director of Recycle-IT, a successful cooperative, and is happily married with five children.
