Mike O'Brien

Mike O’Brien was appointed as Minister of State for Pensions Reform in June 2007.

He is the Member of Parliament for the West Midlands constituency of North Warwickshire. He was first elected at the 1992 general election.

He served as a junior minister in the Home Office from 1997 to 2001, then as a Minister of State at the Foreign Office until 9 September 2004, when he became Minister of State for E-commerce, Energy and Competitiveness at the Department for Trade and Industry. In 2005 he replaced Harriet Harman as Solicitor General.

Mike is married to Alison, and they have two children.
