The full time working week for Jobcentre Plus is 37 hours (36 hours for staff based in Surrey, Berkshire & Kent).

You may be a required to work at anytime between the hours of 8am and 8pm on any day between Monday to Friday and 9am-5pm on a Saturday.

Part time and job-share working patterns within these hours are also available but must meet business needs.

Please note that successful part time and Job-share candidates may be required to work full time for specific periods to complete and consolidate training.

Salary

Starting Salary £20,240  - may vary depending on location
National Locations (Hants & lOW, Sussex, Bucks Oxon) - £20,240

Outer London locations (Surrey, Kent & Berkshire) - £22,570 Specified Pay Zone locations (Brighton, Hove, Oxford) - £22,270
(All pro rata for part time)

Term of contract

Fixed term Appointment which could last up to 30/11/10 with limited possibility of extension or permanency. These posts are for a fixed period due to a temporary increase in demand for our services related to the economic downturn.

Description

A number of exciting opportunities have arisen in the Department for Work and Pensions within Jobcentre Plus where you can be part of an organisation that makes a real difference to the lives of others.

We are looking to recruit people who are customer focused with a proven background in teaching or training who are committed to providing a professional service.

Typical duties include

To deliver and facilitate a range of learning interventions to required standards using a range of methods. Will also evaluate learning at the point of delivery. Network with colleagues across the Region to share good practice and identify innovation needed in Learning and Development to support the business. Will involve preparation for delivery and facilitation of new or change interventions. Also required to provide Management Information as required.

Successful candidates will be required to travel to deliver events at locations throughout  the South East Region, which includes Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex & Kent. The Department will cover all travel and overnight accommodation costs.

Those successful at Sift stage will be required to undertake numerical and literacy testing on one of the following dates, 15th or 16th December 2009.  Candidates successful at test  will be invited to attend an interview on 17th or 18th December 2009.
