About DWP

Disability Employment Advisory Committee

The Disability Employment Advisory Committee (DEAC) closed on 30 November 2010 as part of the Government’s commitment to increase the transparency and accountability of public services.

Disability employment advice

The Disability Employment Advisory Committee (DEAC) was set up in 2002 to provide Ministers and government policy makers in the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) with strategic advice on disability employment issues.

Equality 2025 already has a remit to advise on issues affecting disabled people and is available to provide Government with advice on disability employment issues.
